Hi and welcome!
I’m Al, and I am a Psychotherapist and Clinical Counsellor practising in Calgary, Alberta.
I share my time between my family, private practice and various volunteer positions in and around the Calgary area. I have worked successfully with youth adults and seniors; individually, in partnerships, and as family units to address and resolve a wide variety of issues.
And . . . on a more personal note:
Professional / Master Instructor, Scuba Training / Eco-Tourism and Diving Wizard, Magic Maker, and Re-Furbished Adventurer. Unapologetically compulsive Life-Long Learner.
Husband, Partner, Father, Human.
I am deeply rooted in a profound respect for the beauty, uniqueness and dimension of humanity.
Grounded in Narrative Therapy, I embrace an integrative approach to counselling which is both client-centred and directive, drawing on a wide range of therapeutic modalities with the goal of meeting the unique needs of each client. Someone as individual as you are, deserves an individualised approach to counselling.
Working from a collaborative strengths-based perspective, I emphasize each client’s resilience, strengths, and unique capacities.
In-person sessions and/or online-counselling can be arranged to suit your needs.
